What did you do on Bank holiday Monday – the weather was fab wasn’t it?

We were busy prepping for Chatsworth Country Fair this weekend, and the British Trade Craft Fair for next weekend. Making last minute labels, pricing and taking photos for our brand new trade look-book which will launch very soon.

Of course, we’ve had a busy Summer knitting for both shows as well as knitting for orders for some of our lovely new stockists. Most stock will leave us here by the end of the month, ready for the Autumn/Winter season. In order to help us meet these demands, we hired two Summer interns to teach them how to use the vintage knitting machines we knit on and show them how to produce fine knitwear from start to finish.

It was a great success and both interns will go on to start their second year of studying Textile Design at Derby University with more skills than they came here with and it was an absolute pleasure to have them with us during the Summer.

Their project culminates in the Chatsworth Fair this weekend.

I’m nervous but excited at the same time. The stock is ready, tent is packed and so all we need is the good weather and some lovely customers in the mood for a great shop! We will be bringing our knitwear, wraps, throws and cushions as well as our clutch bags and gift items and some very special Chatsworth weekend only offers.
