Where did that year go?

Was an amazingly hot Summer and while most people were out enjoying the weather, I was busy on Bertha, knitting stock for the up coming Autumn and Winter Artisan Fairs.

I’ve been delighted to have been selected to exhibit at some of the most prestigious shows this season and here’s a list of where you can visit and see our new products, designs and patterns.

First up is this weekend (8-9th September) at the famous Wirksworth Festival in Derbyshire. Wirksworth is home to a wonderful mix of artisans and artists. I will be showing in the Town Hall and will be using our new exhibition stand for the very first time – I’m very excited about it and a little nervous as it’s my first Wirksworth show.

The second fair I will be showing at is a local one to me and a stones throw from Kegworth. It is Melbourne Festival (15-16th September) and I’ll be showing in the offices of Melbourne Community Care in Williams Yard, next to Studio Homes & Interiors.

I’ll then be spending a week (end of October), showing at a private shopping event in London. It’s going to be a long week but having completed one day of the event last year, I’m delighted to have been chosen to show for a full week this year. A percentage of all sales will be raised for Prince Charles’ charities so I’m particularly proud to be taking part in this curated charity shopping event.

In November I return to the wonderfully festive Haddon Hall, on the outskirts of Bakewell in Derbyshire. This runs from 16th-18th of November. It’s a winter wonderland there during the artisan fair, and the Hall looks beautiful throughout. It’s well worth a visit with the entry fee greatly reduced during the show days. Bring your cash though – the internet is dodgy so not all card machines work all the time. I’ve never had an issue, but those thick 14th Century stone walls are unforgiving in places…

My very last show of the season is the Harley Gallery Welbeck Winter Artisan Fair (23rd – 25th November). This year the show has doubled in size, with two marquees instead of the usual one. I’ll be in marquee number two. It’s usually a cold one, so wrap up well and don’t forget to avail of the wonderful artisan food stalls in the courtyard.

So would love to see you at one of these shows – please do pop by and say hello!
